A Winter Citrus Inspired Supper Club Tablescape with Serena Wolf

A Winter Citrus Inspired Supper Club Tablescape with Serena Wolf

Posted by Lyndsey Zorich on

When Serena Wolf announced she was coming to town for her book signing, we seized the opportunity to make her our first 2020 Carte Blanche contributor.

On the eve of her local Houston signing for the Dude Diet Dinnertime, we hosted a small supper club, and in setting the table, we wanted to ensure it had her same cheerful energy and approachable cooking style.

So! We styled a table inspired by the new release, and to say we're pleased with the final product is an understatement.

SHOP THE SCENE

We worked with Serena on a color scheme that made sense and blues felt true to her blog and brand.

So, we turned to our favorite, Tisch NY, as her designs are a cinch to clean, another nod to The Dude Diet's less is more approach. We interspersed two prints in a mineral blue: shadow lines and herringbone

When we began the floral journey, everything felt a little much. So, we shifted gears a bit as we decided winter citrus would be timely for our early January supper club event.

We wanted to really lean into the happy environment the colorful citrus introduced, so we weaved in an array of colors for the candles resting inside these awesome holders which happen to be the exact color Pantone dubbed 'the color of the year' - classic blue.

Final little details like these utensil napkin rings really brought the whole scene to life and felt true to a supper chez Serena.

Now, there were no dudes invited to dinner, but we can assure you all the menu items were dudette approved, too. We worked with our fave, Meg Grant, to create these paper menus to highlight the Serena's featured selections for this supper club event.

We insist you check out all the details of the dinner including menu items, guests, miniature apps inspired by Dude Diet recipes & more--all on this blog post!

How warm and cozy does the table look at nightfall? It's not too late to indulge in the winter season and set a citrus centerpiece table.

We already inspired our friend Max, and we're wildly impressed with his interpretation! So much so, he has signed on to be a Carte Blanche contributor this fall. We're always open to suggestion! Who would you like to see? Email molly@onlyontheavenue.com for recs and ideas!
