We're pinching ourselves that Marie Flanigan agreed to style an autumnal tablescape as part of our Carte Blanche series

With years of experience under her belt designing houses from the first brick laid to the final pillow fluffed, we knew she would have more than a stroke of brilliance pulling together a fall table.

That she did. She was so gracious to invite us into the garage apartment in her Houston home, a beautiful stage to present all of the newness just stocked in our LIVE shop.

We started with hors d'oeuvres, as one does, and our new pink marble cellar made the prettiest shelter for fresh peppercorns alongside a Pecorino cheese with our olivewood knife set

She then served up an Autumn Fizz in our new coupes, and we all agreed that a stately vessel can make any cocktail taste better.

kale salad was a natural pair to the rest of the menu items, and the deep greens of the leaves alongside the rich purples of the figs made the whole spread a feast for the eye.

Marie handpicked every item you see but confessed these gingham napkins were her favorite Avenue item of them all: "I adore the color and they go with every occasion." Our personal favorite? The pink candlestick holder also pictured here.

The amber colorway on the water tumblers tied the look together.

Marie did our dreamy Daisy dress justice and added these fun Faye earrings for an extra feminine touch. LZ dove deep with Marie and discussed her biz, current design crushes and a few things Marie super fans may not even know...

Onto dessert! Her rustic apple tart recipe selection was fitting for the season and made sense when we found out what her family's fridge is always stocked with...

"Cinnamon sticks! Whether I’m sprinkling some in my coffee, using them for a recipe, or boiling them on the stove with oranges for a fresh aroma, cinnamon seems to make everything feel more special."

She also played up her current color crushes, deep blush and saffron, in her table scheme. "It transitions so beautifully to fall!"

We can't resist asking where tastemakers like Marie source their inspiration in the overwhelming sea of content we're all swimming in.

One takeaway we did discover is an under-the-radar Instagram feed that's a total inspo treasure trove: @jeffreydungan

"He’s an architect that I greatly admire. Not only are his designs incredible, but his overall outlook on life is poetic and refreshing."

Of course, we love that she and her biz call Houston home, so we had to ask what her favorite hometown haunt was. Theodore Rex. "It’s a hidden gem in the middle of Houston, with about 10 tables, and the food is phenomenal."

Last but not least, a little round of this or that to get to know the lady behind this incredible team and firm with so many accolades. Be sure to follow their design adventures on Instagram and check out her spin on this scene on their site complete with her tips on fall entertaining, these fall menu recipes and get lost in her impressive portfolio. All here!

Can't argue with any of those picks.

A million thanks to Marie and her all-star team for being our September Carte Blanche contributor. We couldn't imagine someone more suited to set our table for this fall season that we officially entered as of yesterday! Happy, happy fall, y'all.
