Houston, We Have a Fashion Maven You Need to Follow

Those that dress themselves well tend to know a thing or two about creating an epic tablescape, too.

This definitely applies to fashionista extraordinaire Natalie Steen of The Nat Note. Decked in this on-sale dress (her treasure hunting skills are beyond), you can shop her violet star bag here and pearl bubble drop earrings here

Girlfriend has been inspiring us with her outfit collages ever since she started what was once Up the Get Up and is now a weekly newsletter that, we swear, is the best thing to drop in your inbox all week. Sign up here!

Best part? It comes on Monday mornings, so it completely makes any case of the blues go poof.

As a Houston neighbor, we knew we had to tap Nat to take part in our Carte Blanche series.

In keeping with the definition of the series, we let her spin her creative wheels and come up with an entertaining vision all her own.

She went long on her local Houston love and decided to design a set-up celebrating the upcoming 50th anniversary of the moon landing.

Wacky and wonderful all at once, we were all over it. Shop the photo above by clicking on the mustard plus-signs for all the table items available on The Avenue!

The unexpected purple and orange color scheme fit the space jam scene. And the shagreen pattern on these Tisch placemats served as a subtle nod to the celestial setting.

For the beverages, Blue Moon drove the theme home, and our hobnail glassware let that orange color really glow.

To fill out the table, we picked little buds to place in these easy vases of various sizes. Natalie brought in her own brass candelabra and retro candlesticks so the table would feel totally out there.

These napkin rings added a little texture and didn't not remind us of an orbit. These canvas napkins were an easy match.

Did we mention Natalie is a new mama to this space star?

Whit was all in for this moon cake and moon pies, both of which the menu could obviously not be without.

To wash it all down, these martinis were out-of-this-world with their on-theme toothpicks and vintage linen napkins. We included these impossibly chic cateye shades to add some more mid-century vibes à la Apollo 11 to the set-up.

We hope you loved this lunar party as much as us, and we wouldn't blame you if you decided this party was worth throwing well beyond Saturday's 50th anniversary celebration.

And make sure to follow Nat for her weekly dose of e-inspo! X
