Emily Jackson of Stuffy Muffy embraces all the same things we do on The Avenue: sophisticated style with a dash of whimsy and oftentimes, some much needed fluff.
So, when we tapped her to be a tastemaker for the blog, we knew she would deliver in true Muffy fashion, and that she did.

She politely asked permission to style a buffet in lieu of a table, and we said absolutely, eager to provide you with a little serving inspiration for your next soirée.
The antique console itself framed by two blue and white lamps and a bench dressed in a favorite designer chintz were the traditional elements of the scene, an ever-present element of Emily's sensible aesthetic.

Our artisan cheese board was the stage her delectable hors d'oeuvres were displayed on. We quickly discovered Emily's eye for curating table settings extends to food presentation. A little more on Emily:
Don't let the little details go unnoticed like the hardback books wrapped in a gorgeous marbled paper which our new blush tapers are gracing in vintage crystal candle holders.
A dose of elegance by way of these scallop silver cups brought the scene to life with the overflowing blooms. We're repurposing these as mint julep vessels come time for the Derby.
So cheers dears! Even if it's just your usual roommates as company, we encourage reaching for that bottle of champagne in the back of the fridge and putting together a post-worthy platter of pickled veg and your favorite cheese and chocolates.
Be sure to tune into Emily's blog and Instagram for more delightful musings.
