I heard there was a new pink wall in town, and this new floral dress warranted nothing less than a pretty pink photo backdrop. Believe it or not, there's an art to figuring out how to make an outfit's design shine. If you're got a busy print, a pretty clean backdrop is a must. Black outfits are pretty difficult to shoot no matter what the backdrop, wall texture can bounce light in both flattering and unflattering ways, time of day can totally change the success of a shot, etc. etc. Some of the prettiest pieces can truly die against the wrong backdrop. Am I losing y'all yet?!

Anyway, the creative side of my brain feeds off trying to shoot beautiful imagery for brands that I work with. And let me be the first to tell you, my LEAST favorite part of blogging is seeing myself in photos. Who enjoys this?! That's why for years I would cover my face with my hair in most shots. I've gotten a little less self conscious about it all over the years realizing the world is fast and nobody is going to notice bags under my eyes as quickly as they scroll the feed right?! Sunglasses help that too! Ha!

Annyway, I love today's outfit for so many reasons {including the fact that it popped on the pink wall with the legit Florence + the Machine long lyric quote}. This dress is so comfy and looks great dressed up for an event or down with booties as seen today. These boots have been my go-to this winter. They are a little bit western and just easy with denim or dresses. I'm pretty much out of the heeled boot phase of life because it's just not practical with three kiddos, so loved this chic flat option.

"Oh the hearts hides such unimaginable things."
