Memorial Day: Four Very Festive Ways

Memorial Day: Four Very Festive Ways

Posted by Lyndsey Zorich on

I think we can all agree that no matter what the calendar technically deems the first day of summer, we're all here for it come Memorial Day.

We're heading to Asheville, North Carolina for our long weekend, and I can't wait to spend time in a place with my fam sans hustle and bustle but not without great restaurants and glorious views. If a lake outing or a backyard barbecue are in store for your crew, we've got all the things that will transform your dining destination from its regular state to a celebratory setting.

In honoring those who have served our country, we stuck to the classic red, white and blue color scheme but with classic prints like gingham napkins and textural touches with the sisal napkin rings.

Well aware that most Memorial Day menu items include hamburgers with all the trimmings, potato chips with all the crumbles and fruit with all the juices, we're sticking to melamine dishes so clean up o'clock is super simple. Same goes for the stylish Tisch placemats, which are backed in cork for easy wipe-down cleaning.

Best of all, these pieces live beautifully on their own and would make a great second act come mid-summer for the Fourth. These weeks always tend to fly; you and your table will be thankful you're already prepared!
